Are There Apostles And Prophets Today?

So far, Ephesians 4:11 tells us that these gifts were given to the Body by Christ but I’ve yet to come across someone that fits the Biblical description of apostles and prophets.
Search the Scriptures and come to a Biblically sound conclusion.
But not one apostle or prophet has warned us of COVID-19. No one but after the fact YouTube folk. An after the fact warning or abstract prophetic word salad isn't proof. The warning has to be specific with intricate undeniable detail that passes scrutiny.
We don't need a Kenneth Copeland ----I'm a prophet of God that blows spit at Covid.
Most of you will not believe them because they lack the Scriptural evidence.
Measure them by Scripture and line up their ministry by the Scripture, and not because someone says that their title is not to be questioned.
Question everyone, including me (I’m not an apostle but you get my point).
So what Scriptures should apostles and prophets, if any, be measured by?
Glad you ask.
2 Corinthians 12:12 (NKJV)
“Truly the signs of an apostle were accomplished among you with all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty deeds.”
So a true apostle will have the signs of an apostle so there’s no mistake that a man that claimed to be an apostle will admit that they’re a true or false apostle.
What do apostles do?
First, they’re called by God to be one and they’ll manifest consistently and regularly the signs of an apostle in places where Christ has not been preached.
Romans 15:18-21 (NKJV)
“For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient—
in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God,
so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,
but as it is written:
“To whom He was not announced, they shall see; And those who have not heard shall understand.”
If these things aren’t evident, then they are not apostles.
Put them to the test.
Revelation 2:2-3 (NKJV)
“I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil.
And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not,
and have found them liars;
and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary.”
The believers at Ephesus (western modern day Turkey) tested those that claimed to be apostles and they were found to be liars.
Now women are popping up all over the place and they’ve called themselves “mother apostles.”
Show in the NT Scripture where women were ever apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers, bishops, elders, or ministers.
No inference. Direct Biblical references that undoubtedly identify women as such.
We must test them or we run the risk of accepting their error as normal.
False apostles are ministers of satan.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (NKJV)
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
And no wonder!
For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.”
We mustn’t deceive ourselves, otherwise we’re guilty of conspiracy to perpetuate a fraud.
The test for prophets is Deuteronomy chapters 13 and 18.
When their word falls to the ground, just once, they’re false prophets.
If they miss it just once, God had never called them.
1 John 4:1-6 (NKJV)
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.
And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us.
By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.”
John’s test flushed out a lot of gnostics that claim to be prophets and the believers overcome them by putting them to the test.
False prophets are antichrists.
1 John 2:18-19 (NKJV)
“Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.”
2 John 1:7 (NKJV)
“For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.”
True apostles and prophets welcome being tested because the true ones will withstand scrutiny.
The false ones will demand that you can't test them because they’re much higher than you.
They’ll claim that you have no authority to challenge them.
These are tell tale signs to avoid them and walk away from them.
2 Peter 2:1-3 (NKJV)
“But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies,
even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.
And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.
By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.”
When they run from scrutiny, it’s a clear sign of pride and arrogance.
Proverbs 8:13 (NKJV)
“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.”
Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV)
“Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall.”
If you claim to be an apostle or prophet, prove it with undeniable facts.
Otherwise, you’re a liar, destined for destruction in hell and then the lake of fire.
