There's No Biblical Basis For Abstaining From Premarital Sex?

You mean that the pastor said that I can have premarital sex and not be judged by the Lord and be sent to hell?

You mean that the pastor said that I can have sex before marriage and nothing wil be laid to my charge?

That's great news!

Not so fast.

We still have to die and be judged.

Hebrews 9:27-28 (NKJV) "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation."

2 Corinthians 5:9-11 (NKJV) "Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body,

according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences."

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (NKJV) "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God."

Revelation 21:8 (NKJV)

"But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

You thought that you could get away with it but no!

We shouldn't be surprised when a preacher mishandles the Word of God when it comes to sex. Usually, when a pastor wrongly divides the Word of truth, they may be caught in their own sexual sins.

Within marriage between one biological man and one biological woman, you can have all the sex you want (see Genesis 2:18-25). Levitiicus chapter 18 and Romans chapter 1 lists the prohibitions of sex outside of marriage.

Trapped in their own sexual sins, they seek to excuse and justify their sin.

Dr. Delman Coates, pastor of Mt. Ennon Baptist Church in Clinton, Maryland, is doing a series on sex and it was posted, in part, on YouTube by "All Things Theology."

There's no reason not to believe that Coates may be involved with porn and masturbation but it's likely. It's speculative at best but whenever you're giving congregants permission to engage in fornication and sexual immorality, there's a high probability that he's involved in some sort of sexual immorality himself.

No one watches porn and not release sexual tension by masturbation, prostitution, fornication, adultery, or homosexuality.

Without any confirmation, it remains purely speculative.

At first, he starts out with some of the Biblical prohibitions on fornication and adultery. But he turned away from the Scriptures and overrode the text of Scripture with his own opinion, clearly in violation of God's Word.

He's rejected Paul's teaching in 2 Timothy 4:2-4 (NKJV) and his listeners have done the same.

"Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables."

Here's some Biblical commands and teachings of the Lord and from Paul when it comes to sexual immorality.

Matthew 5:27-28 (NKJV) “You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."

Matthew 15:19-20 (NKJV)

For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies. These are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.”

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (NKJV)

"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

Hebrews 13:4 (NKJV)

"Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge."

No one is more powerful than God and His Word, yet, with no fear of God, preachers usurp the authority of Scripture.

This leads me to believe that this "pastor" is tares among wheat (see Matthew 13:36-43).

The enemy, satan, has planted him. No one in their right mind would dare countermand the Word of God. However, this person was either once saved, or was never saved to begin with, has infiltrated the church and is teaching "doctrines of demons and seducing spirits" (see 1 Timothy 4:1-2).

We see elements of this false teaching of permitting fornication in Revelation 2:20 (NKJV).

"Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols."

The messenger or pastor of Thyatira permitted a woman to teach that fornication and eating things sacrificed to idols was permitted. The best thing that the Lord did was to identify her as a "Jezebel." One definition calls her an "antinomian" which means

"...[a person that holds the] view that Christians are released by grace from the obligation of observing the moral law."

Today, we would call this "hyper grace."

When Christ fulfilled the law (see Romans 10:4), ceremonial and dietary law was done away with but the moral law still stands.

1 Timothy 1:8-11 (NKJV) "But we know that the law is good if one uses it lawfully, knowing this: that the law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and for sinners,

for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers,

and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God which was committed to my trust."

Hyper grace declares that God's grace covers automatically all of your future sins. This covers that you can commit sins in the future and you're automatically forgiven. Do Christians still sin today? Absolutely. We're not niave about it however, "Go. And sin no more" doesn't mean go and sin some more.

The book of 1 John clearly teaches that he that sins hasn't seen Him and doesn't know Him.

You can lose your salvation.

Revelation 3:4-5 (NKJV)

"You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels."

So if you choose to continue in sin, you can lose your salvation.

But for false preachers and teachers that teach permission to sin, the Lord never, not at anytime knew them.

Matthew 7:15-23 (NKJV) “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’"

Here's the Scripture that condemns this hyper grace or once saved, always saved.

Romans 6:1-2 (NKJV) "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?"

So if you want to roll the dice and assume that you'll not be charged for sexual immorality, it's your choice, but it will cost you in the end.

We're not saved by grace from sin to continue in sin.
